As the end of this school year approaches, I want to let you know that all library materials and textbooks your son/daughter has borrowed need to be returned to the Media Center. The week of May 7, a list of the materials and fines owed is being sent home with Grade 6 and 7 students. Please check their backpack Parents of Grade 8 students should receive the list directly through the US mail.
Here is a copy of the schedule for textbook return. This gives you the date and time when your child is scheduled to return his/her textbooks.

Students are responsible for returning the copy of materials which were checked out to them. It must have the same barcode as the one on his or her record. Sometimes students believe they have returned their copy but in fact may have picked up and returned a class copy or another student’s copy.
If your son or daughter cannot locate any items, please send a check (made out to Standley Middle School) or cash in the amount listed on the attached notice.
As you are aware the Williams Settlement requires us to provide textbooks to all students in the beginning of the school year. You can help by encouraging your child to return all materials at the end of the school year. This way materials will be ready for the next group of students coming along.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me at 858-455-0550 x 1205 or e-mail vmonkman@sandi.net.
