French 1-2
French 1-2 is a college preparatory course that focuses on the development of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The class is communication-based and stresses practical, "real-life" learning. Students work in a collaborative environment providing maximum opportunities for active learning. Projects involve writing, acting/speaking, and using the Internet.

French 3-4 
French 3-4 is a college preparatory course in second year French that parallels the California State Framework. It is an intermediate course focusing on the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The class is communication-based and stresses practical, "real-life" learning. Students work in a collaborative environment that provides maximum opportunities for active learning.

On completing French 3-4, students should be able to:

At least a B grade or equivalent in Modern World Language 1-2 (3.0 GPA recommended). Course enrollment may be limited.*Graduation credit is given as an elective.

NOTE: Students must complete two consecutive years of the same World Language in high school for credit to be recognized in UC/CSU institutions.  Course offerings and availability are subject to change without prior notice.
