"Free Dress Day" Information
Standley will observe "free dress days" on minimum days and days when there is an ASB sponsored activity. On a designated "free dress day" students are not required to wear their uniform, but they still must adhere to the Dressed to Learn Dress Code.

Free OnLine Homework Help
Open every day from 1:00 to 10:00 p.m., the San Diego Public Library is offering students live one-on-one help with math, science, English, and social studies over the internet.  Spanish-speaking tutors are also available from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. (Sunday to Thursday).  Visit the website at

New - June 15th: Modified Schuedule
Minimum Day and 8th Grade Promotion
On Monday,June 15th, Standley will observe a modified schedule to allow for an extended Advisory period during which our 8th Grade Class will promote to 9th grade... The schedule will be as follows:

On Friday, May 29th, Standley will observe a modified schedule to allow for a one-hour lunch and Food Faire. A variety of Standley Clubs will be on hand to fundraise for next years' activities. Our popular items, Burritos, Quesadillas, and Chinese food are available for pre-order at the Financial Office. The schedule will be as follows:

New - May 20th: Curriculum Faire
On Wednesday, May 20th, the Standley Staff will be opening their classroom doors to both current and future students and their families during our annual Curriculum Faire will take place May 20th. The evening begins at 6:00 with a variety of events running throughout the evening. Click below to download an informational flyer that includes bus times and stops:

New - May 20th: Minimum Day
Standley will observe a minimum day schedule on Wednesday, May 20th. Students will report directly to second period, and will be dismissed at 1:15 p.m. For a detailed list of the bell schedule, visit our bell schedule page.

New - May 15th: Battle of the Bands @ UCHS
UCHS senior Chris Cawdrey fights back with a way to help with the school budget crisis and the attempts to axe money from the music departments.  He has spent the past several months organizing a multi school Battle of the Bands which will held in the UCHS gym on Friday, May 15, 2009.  The details are contained in the attached flyer.  Importantly, all of the funds raised will be DONATED to the participating schools' music departments. Even Standley Middle School gets in on the action as one of the UC High bands will represent Standley as all of its members are graduates of its music program.

New - May 8th: Progress Report Distribution
Progress reports for the second six weeks of second semester will be distributed to students on Friday, May 8th in their Advisory class. Students need to return their signed Progress Reports to their Advisory teacher when school resumes on Monday, May11th. Standley will observe a modified schedule, having Advisory at the beginning and the end of the day.
