Dear Gage Families,
We want to thank to all the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles
who attended our Back to School Night last Thursday! We hope you got
to meet our PTA and Foundation members. We, also, hope you joined the
PTA and Foundation, please consider volunteering for one of our upcoming
events or programs.
As I continue to visit classrooms, I am amazed at the learning that
is taking place; students are actively engaged in developing skills
and strategies that will help them to be successful readers and mathematicians.
Our Gage Gator running club is in full swing; students have the opportunity
to run before school and at recess everyday. Each Wednesday, the number
of students receiving popsicles is increasing. For every 10 miles (5
miles for Kinders) students run, they receive a popsicle.
The annual Halloween Carnival is an event that all the students look
forward to each year with much excitement. The Halloween Carnival committee
needs YOU! Please consider lending a hand and/pr joining the Carnival
Committee to ensure that this year’s Carnival is a huge success!
Notice that the Carnival Committee will holding their first meeting
on Tuesday, October 2nd from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the staff lounge at Gage.
No task is too small or too large- and “many hands make light
work”. The PTA is sponsoring the Carnival if you need more information.
The students will “love” you for your involvement.
Just a reminder Friday, October 5th is Picture Day! Wear your best smile!
