Welcome to Encanto Academic Academy, a richly diverse school located in San Diego, California. Encanto’s outstanding staff provides a multitude of wonderful learning opportunities for students in both English and Spanish from preschool through grade 5. Ongoing professional development ensures that teachers are well-prepared to meet the needs of all students as our literacy and math resource trachers and administrators work closely with all teachers throughout the week. Our teacher resource room provides a vast array of materials to support classroom instruction and our technology resources provide for powerful learning.
All students partake in a weekly science enrichment program taught by specialists in our on site science labs. Upper grade students also have the opportunity to participate in an Aquatic Adventures program each year. All 5th grade students receive instrumental music instruction through VAPA that provides an introduction to several different instruments throughout the year. Physical Education is provided by our PE staff two days each week and allows students to develop beginning skills outlined by the state standards.
Parent support is provided on an ongoing basis through CBET classes, Parent Institute, Family Fridays and Family Literacy and Math nights. Our Parent Academic Liason (PAL) is available as a resource to parents and families. Parents are encouraged to become involved in the activities at school through their participation as volunteers and on school committees such as our School Site Council, Foundation and ELAC.
